Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 462)

Overview:

Holders of the Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 462) can engage in cultural exchange activities and tourism in Australia. Additionally, visa holders can:

 

  • Stay in Australia for up to 12 months after the first entry.
  • Work in Australia for up to 12 months, with a maximum of six months with a single employer.
  • Study for up to four months.

 

General Eligibility Requirements for Chinese Applicants:

 

  • Hold a valid Chinese passport.
  • Be aged 18 to 31 at the time of application.
  • Do not have dependent children accompanying them to Australia.
  • Have sufficient funds to support their working holiday in Australia (at least AUD 5000).
  • Have enough funds to purchase a return or onward travel ticket at the end of their working holiday.
  • Not have previously held a Subclass 417 visa to Australia.
  • Have tertiary qualifications or have completed at least two years of university study.
  • Possess a basic level of English proficiency (equivalent to an IELTS score of 4.5 or above).
  • Meet character and health requirements.
  • Be a genuine visitor to Australia.
