Overview:

Applicants first apply for the 188B visa based on their investment or business background in China or other countries. After successfully obtaining the 188 visa, they must invest AUD 1.5 million in state government bonds for 4 years to qualify for the 888 Permanent Resident Visa.

Successful investors in companies, stocks, bonds, and real estate markets.

Application Requirements:

 

  • Age requirement: Below 55 years or state government exemption.
  • Investment period requirement: More than 3 years.
  • Investment shareholding requirement (entrepreneur investors): Hold at least 10% of the shares for at least 1 year in the last 5 years.
  • Investment amount requirement (bond, stock, and real estate investors): Invest a total of at least AUD 1.5 million for at least 1 year in the last 5 years.
  • Immigration background scoring requirement: Achieve a score of 65 (see the scoring table for specific criteria, including age, English language, education, investment experience, assets, company net assets, etc.).

 

 

888 Permanent Resident Visa Requirements:

 

  • Investment amount requirement: Invest AUD 1.5 million in specified projects.
  • Investment period requirement: At least 4 years.
  • Residence period requirement: Reside in Australia for a minimum of 160 days during the 4-year investment period.
  • State government requirement: Invest at least AUD 500,000 in specified risk investment or invest at least AUD 1.5 million in specified managed funds or listed investment companies. Additionally, invest a maximum of AUD 3 million in "balanced investments" through managed funds or listed investment companies.
