189 (Skilled Independent) Permanent Residency Visa

Overview:

The 189 visa requires applicants to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) application first. All applicants' scores are ranked in descending order by occupation, and invitations are issued monthly based on the highest scores. Only those who receive an invitation can submit a visa application.

Eligibility:

• For international students with higher English proficiency and work experience.
• No need for State or Territory government or family sponsorship.

Application Requirements:

• Age requirement: Below 45.
• English requirement: IELTS score of at least 6 in each component.
• Occupation requirement: Nominated occupation must be on the relevant occupation list.
