190 (State Government Sponsored) Permanent Residency Visa

Overview:

After successfully obtaining state government sponsorship, applicants receive an additional 5 points. This means that applicants only need to score 55 points to qualify for permanent residency. Furthermore, applicants' fields of study are not limited to the occupations listed under the 189 visa; some non-immigrant occupations also receive sponsorship from state governments.

Eligibility:

• For international students who have studied in regional areas or intend to do so.
• Advantage: Not restricted to the 189 visa occupation list.

Requirements:

• Age requirement: Below 45.
• English requirement: IELTS score of at least 6 in each component.
• Occupation requirement: Nominated occupation must be on the relevant occupation list.
• Skills assessment requirement: Pass the relevant occupation skills assessment.
• Sponsorship requirement: Obtain sponsorship from a state government.
• EOI points requirement: Score at least 60 points or more.
